Basketball Class

While coaches are considered "volunteers" by most people, our coaches are not your average, run-of-the-mill volunteers. We hold our coaches to the highest of standards when it comes to teaching, competition, and , above all else, sportsmanship. It takes more than just a vast knowledge of a sport or the ability to work well with children to be a good coach.

If you feel as though you would make a good role model for our young athletes, and you will be able to balance your work and personal life with a life here at the park, we invite you to apply for a volunteer coaching position at Western Harnett Youth Recreation. Please complete the Annual Coaching Application, linked below, and you should be contacted within 5 business days by a park staff member.
